Cross Country

  • Runners must be:
    a.    Enrolled at your school
    b.    Have a 2.0 GPA
    c.    Have an athletic physical 
    d.    Meet all WVSSAC rule requirements (Must have 14 practices before September 21, 2022, meet to participate)


    Berkeley County MIDDLE SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY 2022

    1.    Beginning Practices:     August 29, 30, 31 and September 1, 3, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 17, 19, 20

    2.    Meets (All meets begin at 5:30 p.m.)  The bus will pick up at South Middle at 4 pm.

  • 2022 Country Cross Country Championship Results

    The South Cross Country team competed on Wednesday, October 12th in the Berkeley County Middle School Cross Country Championship.

    The girls’ team finished sixth overall. South had two runners finish in the top 10. South was led by Claire Rivas placing 4th overall with a time of 15:00. She was followed by Olivia Campbell who placed 5th overall with a time of 15:11. There were 80 runners total. 

    The boys’ team finished 1st overall, winning the county championship. South had four runners finish in the top 10. South was led by Lochlyn Campbell finished 1st overall with a season best time of 12:46. He was followed by Hudson Smith who finished 5th overall with a time of 13:15. Jordan Baker finished 8th with a time of 13:32, and Caleb Lineberry finished with a time of 13:45. There were 95 runners total.
